Terms of Service

Template: have a lawyer review before launch
These terms govern your organization's use of BldgHelm, a facility management service for campuses. By creating an account or using BldgHelm you agree to them on behalf of your organization.
1. The service
BldgHelm lets your team record buildings, rooms and equipment, schedule maintenance, manage repair requests and work orders, work with contractors, track warranties and punch lists, and plan capital spending. Features may change as the service improves; we will not remove a core feature you pay for during your term without notice.
2. Accounts and roles
- Each organization has at least one Owner Admin, who invites people and decides their role.
- You are responsible for the people you invite and for keeping sign-in details private.
- Contractors you invite see only the work you assign to them.
3. Your data
Your organization owns the data it puts into BldgHelm. We use it only to provide the service. An Owner Admin can export it at any time. When your subscription ends you can export your data; we delete it after a reasonable retention period unless the law requires otherwise.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use BldgHelm to break the law, to upload material you have no right to share, to probe or overload the service, or to access another organization's data.
5. Plans, fees and payment
The Pilot plan is free. Paid plans are annual and billed in advance by card, ACH bank transfer or invoice (net 30, purchase orders accepted) through our payment processor, Stripe. A late payment never locks you out of your data; we will contact you to resolve it.
6. AI estimates
Replacement cost estimates are produced with the help of an AI model. They are planning aids, not quotes, and can be wrong. Check important figures with qualified contractors.
7. Availability and support
We aim for high availability and back up the database daily, but the service is provided "as is" during the pilot, without a guaranteed uptime unless your order form says otherwise.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, each party's total liability is limited to the fees paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these terms and will tell Owner Admins about material changes in advance. Either party may end the agreement at the end of a paid term; we may suspend accounts that break these terms.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms: contact BldgHelm at the address on your order form.
